--- title: Blog | Darlene Gillies description: Darlene started her franchising career working for a franchise brand as an Operations Manager in Georgia. Thereafter, she was promoted and became a Franchise Business Coach where she remained in that role for multiple years. After she was around other successful franchise owners, she decided that she wanted to purchase her own franchise as a franchisee. She owned the franchise for multiple years and successfully exited. After a short time in retirement, she decided that wasn’t for her! Darlene resides in Middle Georgia with her husband on several acres. --- [Skip to main content](https://joefranchise.com/blog/author/darlene-gillies#main) [![Joe Franchise](https://45387827.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/45387827/joe%20franchise/Image/Joe_Franchise_Logo.svg) ![Joe Franchise](https://45387827.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/45387827/joe%20franchise/Image/Joe_Franchise_Logo.svg) ![Joe Franchise](https://45387827.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/45387827/joe%20franchise/Image/Joe_Franchise_Logo.svg) ![Joe Franchise](https://45387827.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/45387827/joe%20franchise/Image/Joe_Franchise_Logo.svg)](https://joefranchise.com) - [Why Franchise](https://joefranchise.com/why-franchise) - [Ownership Path](https://joefranchise.com/ownership-path) - [Our Brands](https://joefranchise.com/our-brands) - [Our Team](https://joefranchise.com/about) - [Resources](https://joefranchise.com/blog) Open main navigation Close main navigation - [Why Franchise](https://joefranchise.com/why-franchise) - [Ownership Path](https://joefranchise.com/ownership-path) - [Our Brands](https://joefranchise.com/our-brands) - [Our Team](https://joefranchise.com/about) - [Resources](https://joefranchise.com/blog) - [![Get in touch](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/45208496/ef024074-2e5a-4cde-a0b1-3f3e100717ec.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/45208496/ef024074-2e5a-4cde-a0b1-3f3e100717ec) [![Get in touch](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/45208496/ef024074-2e5a-4cde-a0b1-3f3e100717ec.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/45208496/ef024074-2e5a-4cde-a0b1-3f3e100717ec) # Darlene Gillies Get expert guidance and a proprietary process to match you with the best brand to achieve your goals.
